HOPE HOUSE

Hope House Children's Hospices provide specialist nursing, care and support to more than 750 children, and their families, who live in Shropshire, Cheshire, North and Mid Wales.

They have two hospices - Hope House in Oswestry and Ty Gobaith in Conwy.

Their dedicated teams support families from diagnosis, throughout the lifetime of their child and beyond. They are there for every mum, dad, brother and sister.

At the end of a child's life Hope House are there to make sure their final moments are as comfortable as possible and that their family says goodbye in their own way and in their own time.

They comfort families and offer bereavement support, whether they have cared for their child during their illness, or they have turned to them after their child's sudden death through any circumstances at all.
Three local families a week face the pain of their child dying.

Hope House currently raise more than £7.5 million every year and that enables them to help one in every three of those families.

It is their mission to raise an additional £2.5 million every year

They survive on fund raising through various programs, events and charitable donations. QTM are proud to be recognised as a ‘Business Champion’. Annual donations, volunteer hours, sponsorship of events and engaging in fund raising activities are the various ways that we support this incredible registered charity.

SEVERN HOSPICE

Severn Hospice provides specialist care and support to families in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales living with incurable illness.

Its care goes beyond wards and providing just clinical services. It also provides emotional, physical and spiritual support enabling patients to maintain independence for as long as possible, whether they are at home or staying on its wards. All Severn Hospice care is given for free, but it is not without cost and the charity has to raise £2 for every £3 it spends.

Samantha Haydon, Severn Hospice Corporate Fundraiser:

“We are really looking forward to working with all the team at QTM in planning so many exciting activities and initiatives in support of us.
We are thrilled that they have chosen Severn Hospice as their charity of the year – their fundraising and support will make a huge difference.

All our care is provided for free but we have to raise £2 for every £3 we spend. It’s thanks to the generous support of our local community and businesses like QTM that we can continue to be there for local families at their time of greatest need.”

At QTM we support Severn Hospice by supporting their gift shops and hospices with volunteer days. Additionally, sponsorship and supporting fund raising activities too.

ERCALL COLTS FOOTBALL CLUB

Ercall Colts are one of Telford’s oldest football clubs and have been awarded 3 star accreditation by the FA, the highest level currently attainable. We provide community-based football to children from the age of 2, in our football creche, through to 16 for both boys and girls of all footballing abilities who can compete weekly in the Telford Junior League and Shropshire Women and Girls league respectively. We have also got 3 adult teams competing in the Salop Leisure league and many of the children who go through our youth structure continue to represent Ercall Colts at senior level. In the next 5 year we would also like to provide a Women’s and Disabled offering however much of that would be dependent upon support from the local council and local organisations.

As a club we have seen the cost of pitches, referees and equipment rise significantly over the last 3 years and we have worked hard to keep our fees at the lowest rate in Telford to ensure that football can be For All however we also recognise that even £2 a week can be a challenge for some families. Thankfully we have had the support of QTM Global who have partnered with us in to provide several significant benefits to the club including:

1) Sponsoring football kits for boys and girls.

As a community club we recognise the value of sustainability and reuse kits across teams over several years wherever possible however there is a natural life to a kit and the pride that a young person has when they walk out in a brand new kit cannot be measured, QTM have provided many kits to the club and another will be provided to our new mini football team this year. A new kit provided by a sponsor also means that the funds do not have to come from club coffers.

2) Providing a parent’s support fund.

With the cost-of-living crisis continuing unchecked, Ercall Colts and QTM Global have created a support fund to ensure that no player in our club misses out on the opportunity to play football.
This fund has been used in the last year to pay or partially pay the fees of 16 children from Telford who could not have afforded to play football otherwise and would have missed out on the chance to improve their football skills, gain and grow social skills and potentially create lifelong friendships.

3) QTM staff support and Committee membership

QTM Global have provided a senior member of their organisation, Colin Ledsom, to join the Ercall Colts Committee to assist us in our objective of having a permanent home for the club, which has been a challenge we have been looking to overcome for many years. They have also offered the time and knowledge of their staff to support us in writing proposals and engaging with the local councils to assist us in achieving this goal, one which they fervently support.

4) Team of the Year trophy

QTM have sponsored the Ercall Colts Team of the year trophy and they present the Cup to the team who have been voted such by the managers and committee of the club. They give their time for a speech or interview about how football has impacted their life and recently we had one of the Directors Bob Docherty discuss how his love of football has seen him travel the world watching his team whilst also managing a successful football team of his own all alongside setting up a 5 a side game over 40 years ago that, with some changes to personnel is still running and has seen a Premier League manager, Premier League player and 2 Wales internationals compete alongside people with perhaps some lesser talent but no reduced love for the game, creating enduring friendships along the way.

The committed of Ercall Colts and all of our players, parents, managers, coaches and supporters would like to put on record an enormous thank you to QTM Global without whom the challenges of helping children and young people to play football in our community would be significantly harder.
